Samsung & LG Smart TV Setup Guide

Step-by-step instructions to configure IBO Player and IPTV Smarters on Tizen OS and webOS Smart TVs.

Method 1: Setup via IBO Player App (Recommended)

Install IBO Player on Your Smart TV

  1. Open the Samsung App Store (Tizen OS) or LG Content Store / Apps (webOS).
  2. Use the search icon to search for IBO Player.
  3. Select the official app icon and click Install or Download.
  4. Launch the app once installation finishes.

Locate Your MAC Address & Device Key

  1. On the main screen of IBO Player, look for Device MAC Address and Device Key.
  2. Write down or take a photo of these two unique alphanumeric strings.
Important: You will use these details to activate your server credentials via a web browser on your smartphone or PC.

Upload Your Playlist Credentials Online

  1. Open a web browser on your phone or computer and navigate to the portal site: iboplayer.com/manage (or ibopro.app).
  2. Enter your Device MAC Address and Device Key into the login fields.
  3. Click Manage Playlists or Add Playlist.
  4. Choose Add XC (Xtream Codes API) and input:
    • Playlist Name: Enter any name (e.g., My Live TV).
    • Username: Your subscription username.
    • Password: Your subscription password.
    • Server URL: Your provider's server URL (e.g., http://domain.com:8080).
  5. Click Save or Protect Playlist.

Reload the App on Your Smart TV

  1. Return to your Samsung or LG TV screen.
  2. Press the Reload / Refresh button on the IBO Player home screen.
  3. Your Live TV channels, EPG guide, and Video on Demand (VOD) library will load automatically.

Method 2: Setup via IPTV Smarters Pro

Install IPTV Smarters / Smarters Player Pro

  1. Press the Home button on your remote control and open the App Store.
  2. Search for IPTV Smarters or Smarters Player Lite.
  3. Select and click Install.
Note for Samsung Users: If IPTV Smarters is unavailable in your regional Samsung App Store, change your TV Location/Region in settings or use Method 1 (IBO Player).

Login with Xtream Codes API

  1. Launch IPTV Smarters on your TV and accept the terms of use.
  2. Select TV as your layout mode.
  3. Choose Load Your Playlist or Login with Xtream Codes API (Recommended).
  4. Fill in the login credentials provided in your activation email:
    • Any Name: Set a name for the account profile.
    • Username: Your active username.
    • Password: Your account password.
    • URL: Your provider server address.
  5. Click ADD USER to begin syncing channels, EPG data, and movies.

💡 Smart TV Performance & Buffering Optimization Tips

  • Use an Ethernet Cable: Built-in Smart TV Wi-Fi antennas are notoriously slow. Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable directly to your router for stable 4K streams.
  • Clear App Cache: If the app runs slowly, go to your TV's system settings (Settings > Support > Device Care / Memory Management) to clear the application cache.
  • Restart Router & TV: Unplug both your Smart TV and home internet router from power for 30 seconds to flush DNS memory when streams fail to connect.
  • Set Native Player to Hardware Acceleration: Inside IBO Player or IPTV Smarters settings, switch video decoder settings to Hardware Decoder for smoother 60fps live sports playback.
